Commercial Imperative
With an approaching contract expiry, Cisco wanted to tender their supplier arrangements across Europe and Emerging Markets. In addition, there was a separate – but related – significant surplus estate disposal requirement in the Thames Valley.
CPA Role
CPA ran these projects in parallel; implementing the RFP process by inviting proposals from multinational / global providers for Europe and Emerging Markets and local specialists for the Thames Valley role. We facilitated the process and interview stage to select the preferred suppliers then dealt with contract negotiation and award.
The Result
For the global estate, despite competitive pressure the incumbent provider was successfully re-appointed but at revised commercial terms including an improvement in resourcing, account management, and reporting requirements. A local expert for the Thames Valley was appointed and significant progress was subsequently made in reducing the extent of the surplus estate.
